Cornerstone Apartments – Kerrison Building Renovations

Trident Construction was selected to work with Neil Stevenson Architects, using our proven TEAM BUILD process, to cost effectively manage the complete renovation and structural repairs to the 150 year old Kerrison Building in downtown Charleston. The 55,000 SF upfit includes 43 new apartments on the second, third, and fourth floors, and commercial space on the first floor.

The scope of work included selective demolition, seismic structural upgrades and preservation of historic masonry, stucco and windows for tax credits.

Utilizing Trident Construction’s collaborative TEAM BUILD process, this 119 room Courtyard Marriott features an indoor pool, workout room, full service kitchen, dining area, and a front office guest check-in area.

Trident Construction was selected to work with LLW Architects, Inc. to develop all drawings, budgets and final GMP; coordinate engineering elements; and provide construction administration services for this new hotel.

Radcliffe House at 61 Vanderhorst Street

The Radcliffe House, located at 61 Vanderhorst Street in Charleston, is a five story apartment building our team renovated for student housing. The building contains 33 group quarters with individual bedrooms and shared living areas. A single elevator services the building and each group quarter is controlled with a separate HVAC unit. As part of the extensive renovation, all windows were replaced, the façade revitalized, and onsite parking areas added for tenants.

Using our TEAM BUILD process, Trident Construction worked closely with the developer and architect to design and construct a new three-unit townhome building on Seabrook Island. Each high-end residential unit features a spacious three bedroom, three bathroom floor plan that includes a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, high quality finishes, porches, and a two car garage.

100 Calhoun Street is a 72,400 SF Class-A commercial office building constructed in downtown Charleston. This building features three floors of commercial office space over structured parking.

The project also includes a ground floor branch bank and drive-through for PNC Bank, and offices for the McNair Law Firm, Barry Emerson accounting firm, McKnight Frampton accounting firm, ASG, Elliott Davis accounting Firm, Digital Lifestyles, and ASG Claims.

Design features include structural steel with metal stud infill, brick veneer base, stucco, and an architectural shingle roof.

This Xfinity interactive customer service center 5,000 SF facility features 10 personal assistance stations, an iPad Bar with interactive product demonstrations, payment kiosks, and dedicated areas for showcasing Comcast’s wide array of products and apps. Using our TEAM BUILD approach, Trident Construction worked very closely with Owner, design team, and Comcast to develop an attractive retail facility with exceptional interior finishes, a fast-track schedule, and a budget that achieved all team member’s requirements.
