O’Quinn School – Porter Gaud

O’Quinn School – Porter Gaud

Selected as the Program Manager, Trident Construction provided site selection services, design team selection, and construction management for the O’Quinn School. This design/build project includes the new construction of a 25,000 SF preschool building with classrooms, offices, cafeteria, auditorium, and age appropriate playgrounds.

Embracing sustainable design, the building features environmentally friendly recycled materials and energy efficient mechanical systems. The project also maximizes natural day-lighting to minimize operation costs.

Porter Gaud School – Program Management

Porter Gaud School – Program Management

Charleston, SC

As part of a multi-project design/build campus expansion, this project includes a 40,000 SF Science and Technology Center, 25,000 SF Wendell Gymnasium, 7,000 SF Scott Wellness Center, baseball dugouts, concession area, football bleachers, and the Fishburn Gymnasium Renovations.

Using our proven TEAM BUILD process, Trident Construction and the design team saved the client over $400,000 in value engineering options. Through these savings, Porter-Gaud was able to expand its construction program to include the new athletic facility.

Ashley Hall – Historic Renovations and Expansion Projects

Charleston, SC

Elizabeth Rivers Lewine House – Trident Construction was selected to work with Evans & Schmidt Architects, using our TEAM BUILD process, to plan and renovate a historic Charleston residence into a dormitory to house up to 14 students and a resident advisor. The renovations included updating the life safety plan, a new commercial kitchen, a new elevator, and two multi-purpose rooms. The renovation also included an improved landscaping plan to support outside activities.
Pardue Hall Atrium – Trident Construction was selected to work with Evans & Schmidt Architects, using our TEAM BUILD process, to design and construct a covered atrium over Pardue Hall including required code upfits for occupancy.
89 Warren Street – Trident Construction was selected to work with Evans & Schmidt Architects, using our TEAM BUILD process, to renovate a historic building into classrooms, studios and apartments.

Pinewood Preparatory School – Upper School Expansion

Pinewood Preparatory School – Upper School Expansion

Summerville, SC

This project includes a new school building with nine classrooms, a lecture hall, staff room, boys/girls bathrooms, and a walkway canopy. This project features an efficient use of a light gauge metal frame, cement block, brick and a metal roof system.
Working closely with the design team, Trident Construction offered numerous Smart Choice materials options to increase value while controlling the total project cost. Total project savings allowed Pinewood to add canopies to improve the campus appearance and functionality.

Charleston County School District – Murray Hill Academy

Charleston County School District – Murray Hill Academy

Trident Construction was selected by Community Education Partners
(CEP) to work with CEP, Usry Wolfe Architects, Heery and the Charleston County School District to complete the design and construction of this unique discipline school. This project included 16 classrooms, computer rooms, meeting rooms, and a full commercial kitchen.

Using our proven TEAM BUILD process, Trident Construction was selected to construct a new classroom building, gymnasium, and multi-purpose facility and renovate the existing sanctuary and church hall. Trident Construction provided constructability, life cycling, and value engineering services during the design phase which led to an overall project savings of $250,000.
As the General Contractor, Trident Construction performed all construction management, supervision, concrete forming, and rough carpentry.
