This $36 million complex for the City of North Charleston consists of 15 separate structures including an administration building, truck and car maintenance facilities, car wash, truck wash, gas station, green house and various other support, storage and warehouse buildings. The 52 acre urban redevelopment project was a former U.S. Air Force Base housing area.
Throughout the project, Trident Construction worked closely with the City of North Charleston, SMHa Architects and their design team members to identify “Smart Choice” cost savings and schedule saving opportunities. The team studied alternative roof designs, lean construction methods, pre-engineered systems and other time and cost savings options. As a result of these studies, Trident Construction was able to offer over $350,000 in potential savings for the owner to consider.
