Building Stories

From project milestones and featured work, to teammate achievements, company events, and community involvement, here’s what’s happening at Trident Construction.

The Peninsula of Charleston continues to rise!

With crews actively working on the 4th floor and multiple concrete pours taking place each week, this landmark project is making its mark on the Charleston skyline.

A project of this size and complexity requires constant communication with our trade partners and design teams to stay ahead of scheduling, coordinate critical milestones, and keep work progressing efficiently. Just as importantly, maintaining a safe jobsite remains our top priority as we work together to bring this vision to life.

We’re grateful for the strong partnerships that make our Team Build approach possible and continue to move this exciting project forward. As the building rises, so does the excitement for what it will bring to downtown Charleston and future residents alike.

Keeping our teams cool in the Lowcountry heat!

This week, Kona Ice stopped by The Peninsula of Charleston to treat our trade partners and teammates who are working hard each day to keep the project moving forward.

It’s a small token of appreciation for the dedication, teamwork, and effort it takes to build great projects, especially during the hottest days of the year.

We are grateful for the relationships and commitment of everyone on site who continues to make progress possible!

We recently celebrated an exciting milestone alongside our longtime partners at Charleston Southern University, the opening of Magnolia Hall!

Trident Construction was proud to help build this 52,000 square foot, three story residence hall, which will provide suite-style living for over 200 students. Amenities include community and study spaces, a fitness center, community kitchen, laundry facility and The Galley at Magnolia.

More than a building, Magnolia Hall is an investment in the student experience and CSU’s future, a place where Buccaneers will pursue their education, build community and grow throughout their college journey.

We’re grateful for our longstanding partnership with CSU, built on trust, shared faith and a commitment to the university’s continued growth. Congratulations to everyone who made this meaningful project possible!

Building stronger communities is about more than the work we do. It’s about the impact we make.

We’re honored to be recognized with the 2026 Community Impact Award by Carolinas AGC. The award celebrates member companies whose generosity, volunteerism, and commitment to service are making a meaningful difference across North and South Carolina.

At Trident Construction, community involvement isn’t an initiative. It’s part of who we are. Whether serving local nonprofits, supporting charitable organizations, volunteering our time, or investing in the communities where we live and work, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond the jobsite.

This recognition belongs to our employees, partners, and community organizations who continually show up to make a difference. Together, we’re helping build stronger communities throughout the Lowcountry and beyond!

This morning, our Project Engineer Group had the privilege of preparing breakfast for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston, a home away from home for families with children receiving treatment at MUSC's Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital. It was a great morning giving back to our community while supporting a valued client!

After breakfast, the team toured the site of RMHC Charleston's "Expanding Hope" project, the expansion rising next to the current house. Since breaking ground, the project has steadily moved from site prep and foundations into vertical construction. Once finished, the expansion will add dozens of new bedrooms, helping RMHC Charleston say "yes" to hundreds more families.

It was a meaningful morning connecting our team's work with the mission behind it, and we're proud to be part of a project that will make such a difference for families across the Lowcountry!

The Discovery Gallery was designed to create new opportunities for exploration and education. Thank you to our long-term partners at the Aquarium and our project team for trusting us with this special project.

This week, we joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare and our project partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting of The Health Pavilion at Sawmill Centre in Summerville.

This milestone represents a shared commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in one of the Lowcountry’s fastest-growing communities. The new facility will soon provide emergency care, imaging, and lab services all under one roof, with future specialty services already underway.

We're proud to celebrate the opening of Huntington Bank's newest branch at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre, bringing another valuable financial resource to the community.

This project was one of three Huntington Bank branches completed by the Trident Construction team this summer.

Before the walls go up, the work below the surface sets the stage for success.

From earthwork and utilities to grading and foundation prep, site work is where months of planning and coordination come to life. Through our Team Build approach, we engage design and trade partners early to identify challenges, align schedules, and create solutions before construction begins.

We’re grateful for the trusted relationships with our design partners, trade partners, and field teams that make this level of collaboration possible.

Once finished, the expansion will add dozens of new bedrooms, helping RMHC Charleston say "yes" to hundreds more families.

It was a meaningful morning connecting our team's work with the mission behind it, and we're proud to be part of a project that will make such a difference for families across the Lowcountry!

This summer, our interns didn’t just learn about construction, they experienced it firsthand in the field! From jobsite visits and teammate experiences, to building relationships and gaining real-world knowledge, they’ve been an incredible part of the Trident Construction team. We’re grateful for the energy, curiosity, and hard work they brought to every day! We’re proud to celebrate this outstanding group by sharing some of their favorite moments from the summer. Thank you for making such a lasting impact, we can’t wait to see what’s ahead for each of you! #NationalInternDay #InternshipExperience #TridentConstruction #BuildingCareers #ConstructionIndustry

The transformation of Old Chicora Elementary School is well underway.

Working alongside Metanoia and Cristo Rey Charleston, this historic campus is being carefully renovated to preserve its character while preparing it to serve future generations of students.

From restoring historic architectural elements to integrating modern improvements, every phase of construction reflects a commitment to honoring the building's past while investing in its future.

Soon, these halls will once again be filled with learning, opportunity, and community as the future home of Cristo Rey Charleston High School.

We are proud to share that the South Carolina Aquarium’s new Discovery Gallery is open, and we are honored to have played a role in bringing this exciting new experience to the Lowcountry. The gallery’s debut exhibit, Jurassic Seas, invites visitors to step back into the Late Cretaceous Period through interactive learning, immersive displays, and larger-than-life prehistoric marine creatures. The Discovery Gallery was designed to create new opportunities for exploration and education. Thank you to our long-term partners at the Aquarium and our project team for trusting us with this special project.

Great projects are built by great people!

We recently hosted an appreciation lunch at our Frankie’s Fun Park project to thank our project team, trade partners, and design team for their hard work and dedication. We’re grateful for the strong relationships that make each project more meaningful and for the people who continue to bring collaboration, commitment, and excellence to the job site every day.

As construction continues, we’re excited to see this project take shape and look forward to celebrating its opening later this year. Thank you to everyone helping bring this project to life!

We’re grateful to be building more than just a facility, but access to care. Construction continues on the future Johns Island Emergency Center, a project designed to bring emergency services closer to home for Johns Island residents and the surrounding communities. We’re proud to be a part of a project that will make a lasting difference in the Lowcountry. #healthcareconstruction #johnsisland #teambuild

We’re proud to have played a role in delivering a space that supports both patient care and community growth. Thank you to @roperstfrancis @smharchitects @studio_e4 @thecypresseng and @colliers_sc and all of our valued trade partners for bringing this vision to life!

The summer is off to a great start with our 2026 intern class and Project Engineers!

Recently, the group gathered for a tour of the new Low Tide Brewing location on Johns Island, led by one of their peers. The tour highlighted the construction progress made to date and provided a look at what’s still to come as the project continues to take shape. The afternoon also offered a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process, along with insights into Low Tide’s growth and success over the years.

We’re excited to spend the summer learning, growing, and making memories together. A big thank you to the @lowtidebrewing team for their hospitality and for sharing their story with us!
