This new 40,000 SF Medical Office Building addition to the existing hospital is located on the Summerville Medical Center (SMC) campus. The two-story facility houses a number of specialty practices including Coastal Carolina Bariatric Center and Carolina Women’s Care.
Employing our TEAM BUILD approach, Trident Construction introduced concrete tilt walls and an alternate foundation plan to the owner and design team. The incorporation of these SMART CHOICE value management options provided $470,000 in savings and accelerated the total project schedule by two months.

The people behind Trident Construction are the hidden strength behind their success. As a business owner, we strongly rely on Trident’s judgment on location, scale, size, material and finish to achieve our goals. We consider them to be business partners every step of the way and they have never let us down.
It is a pleasure to work with the Trident team.
In today’s business climate, we develop intricate, detailed contracts spelling out responsibilities of contractors and clients. Based on my experience, Trident is a company that the handshake of days gone by would be enough to give one the comfort that the project will be completed as promised.
I have personally worked with Trident for over a decade delivering medical office projects in Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Trident has the utmost respect for their clients and a strong desire to provide a product we could all be proud of. When I think of Trident, only good thoughts come to mind.
From our medical offices, to our surgery center, Trident Construction has been there for us when we needed them. We now have completed three projects with Trident and they all are quality buildings delivered on time and on budget. The best part of working with Trident is the people. We consider them our friends; from the owners to the construction managers and subs. We wouldn’t do business with anyone else.
